My name is Adrianne Sanogo, I studied gemology at the world renowned Gemological Institute of America [GIA] where I earned a GIA Graduate Gemologist® (GG) diploma, and a Graduate Pearl (GP) diploma.
Annually, I enroll in the Continuing Education Recognition Program at GIA to upgrade my knowledge and skills while also pursuing other educational endeavors at leading institutions. Examples include Christie’s History of Jewellery Design: 1880 to Now course, GIA’s Jewelry Forensics Seminar, and DeBeers Institute of Diamonds courses and workshops. Inspiration and knowledge can be found in areas outside your expertise or area of interest. For this reason, I carefully curate the courses I enroll in that are seemingly unrelated to gems and jewelry.
I am excited to apply my ongoing knowledge and skills to all of my professional roles.
That’s why I am excited to announce have added a lecturing and workshop series to my schedule, and I have joined Rapaport Magazine , Natural Diamond Council, and The Jewelers Collective, as a regular contributor where I have the privilege of educating the public about gems and jewelry.
I enjoy mentoring students and jewelry professionals from all over the globe who are pursuing gemology careers and education.
On a personal note, I am the proud mother of two daughters, one son, two felines and one canine.
My hobbies are hummingbirds, reading, and treasure hunting for unique, rare gems and jewelry.
